Edward Maya will be performing July 2nd,2011 in Chicago at the Congress Theatre. Eduard Marian Ilie (born 29 June 1986 in Bucharest),better known as Edward Maya, is a Romanian musician, producer, performer, and composer. He graduated from George Enescu Music High School in Bucharest and is currently a final year student at the Bucharest Conservatory. His biggest hit "Stereo Love" received over 120 million YouTube views since August 2009, for just one video. "Stereo Love" is the longest charting song in the history of European top Hot 100, accumulating 47 weeks.

Saint Xavier University tol host the Chicago premiere of Hand Held, a documentary exploring the plight of the 400,000 children in Romania’s orphanages after the fall of communism. Creators Don Hahn, award-winning producer and documentary filmmaker, and Michael Carroll, photographer and Romanian Children’s Relief founder, will attend the Sat., April 2 premiere.

The premiere is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at McGuire Hall, located at SXU’s Chicago campus, 3700 W. 103rd St. It is free and open to the public, and a short question-and-answer session will follow the film.
